Albert Frost
lbert Frost, undoubtedly one of the most accomplished guitarists in South Africa, has proved himself in the blues and rock genre with great success.
While still at school he started performing with the Blues Broers.
His strength is his live performances, his forte collaborations with numerous artists. Albert Frost has shared stages with South Africa’s finest as well as international acts like The Rolling Stones, Tim Robbins and being part of the REM tour. He performed at the presidential inauguration and celebration of the 10 years of democracy to Nelson Mandela to an audience of 70 000. He has collaborated with double Grammy Award winning Malian legend, Ali Farka Toure.
Albert has played at the Isle of Wight Festival and toured in Germany, London and France.
He has played at every major festival in the country - Oppikoppi, Splashy Fen, KKNK, Aardklop, and Grahamstown - as well as Isle of Wight and Pukkelpop internationally.
Albert Frost continues to tour the country with various acts. He has recently re-invented himself with a solo show incorporating a loop pedal which enables him to showcase his considerable ability with both acoustic and electric guitars. This he illustrated most effectively to a worldwide audience from the 20th storey rooftop of a skyscraper in the Johannesburg CBD through SkyroomLive.
“...the dark prince of South African blues .....he’s one of those rare guitarists who refuses to sacrifice any riff for simple showmanship. So he snakes his slow-burning frost-bite through back and between the collaborations with (various artists)..“ .
Anton Marshall and Miles Keylock, The Rolling Stone SA March 2012
Albert Frost will hold you spellbound with his prowess.

Wild Lettuce
The support act will be the local band from Wilderness, Wild Lettuce.
In the beginning of 2010 Reinhardt Buhr formed a duo acoustic instrumental fusion acoustic rock band called "Wild Lettuce" with a drummer/percussionist Eugene van Pletzen. The duo quickly became known for their wild live shows around the Garden Route, crazy and unpredictable rhythms, beautiful flamenco melodies to exotic metal sounding solos to the mesmerizing sounds of the Australian Didgeridoo ...to some funky Jimi Hendrix style rock licks! It’s only been a couple of months since they started when they opened for one of South Africa's best rock bands like "Prime Circle" at the international golf course "Fancourt" and the likes of Arno Carstens recently. Wild Lettuce has also toured Zanzibar which is a small island just off the coast of Tanzania with hundreds of hotels for almost 2 months! Reinhardt Buhr uses a live looping pedal that makes him sound like two different guitarists at the same time combined with some crazy multi effects, where Eugene van Pletzen plays the Spanish "cajon", Drums and a handful of other percussion instruments including the Australian Didgeridoo at the same time! For a duo band these guys can truly make you feel that you listen to a full piece acoustic rock band!
