Ben Badenhorst & Neil vd Walt
Thunderbolt Sound Theatre is a collaboration between Ben Badenhorst (Guitar and Vox) and Neil Van Der Walt (Bass and Loops). Their music is a fresh mixture of African, Indian and Jazz elements.
Deep, danceable grooves, lush textures, catchy melodies and a firm emphasis on improvisation make for an invigorating sonic trip. Ben Badenhorst is notable for his unusually clear, broad-spectrum tone, extreme definition and clarity at high speed, and highly idiosyncratic and unusual choice of notes....
Neil V.D. Walt is notable for his Deep, fat and Punchy sound, machine-like consistency and old school onstage cool:)
